Lockdown Lectures: What Survives of the 1825 Stockton & Darlington Railway?

An announcement on the 28th July 2020 by Locomotion, the railway museum in Shildon, that the ironwork for George Stephenson’s Gaunless Bridge is due to move from York to Locomotion in Shildon, was very welcome news. This short talk of just under 9 minutes is about that innovative and pioneering railway structure – the Gaunless Bridge near West Auckland.
