Historic England is reviewing the protected status of a number of historic railway structures along the S&DR. Before confirming any new listings, they consult on the proposals. This is the latest consultation:
Three bridges over the Shildon-Darlington railway line: School Aycliffe Lane, Aycliffe Wood (at NZ 2704 2325) & Little Whessoe (at NZ 2796 1884)

I am writing to inform you that on behalf of the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Historic England is currently considering whether any of the above bridges have special architectural or historic interest.
