Hackworth’s House given greater protection

More good news on getting our S&DR heritage assets properly protected by law. Timothy Hackworth’s house in Shildon has been upgraded from listed grade II to listed grade II*. This recognises its national importance and is a very high level of listing. The single storey cottages next door remain at grade II.
