A lovely book … as one reviewer said ‘A near perfect occasional book…rich in substance. Place it by the guest’s bed, but write your name in it first’. The previous owner Dr Peter Holmes, didn’t write his name in it, so it’s up for grabs!
Paperback in good, but read condition. 126pp. Published in 1978. Stunning monochrome photos as you’d expect. The prose is beautiful, well of course it is. You can hear Betjeman speaking as you read. I’m frankly tempted to keep this for myself…..
