Heighington Station Campaign gathers steam

The Campaign to Save Heighington Station, the world’s oldest station, has been gathering steam since it’s launch two weeks ago. Coverage has been widespread with the story, led by superb pieces in the Northern Echo’s memories section by Vice President of the Friends and renowned local journalist and historian Chris Lloyd.

National and international publications including the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, The Daily Express and the Washington Post. It has also been picked up by the BBC and Irish broadcaster Newstalk.
